Summary
The total time taken to build - from foundation to moving in was 6 months.
This included 90% of the internal decoration, carpets, flooring and some
of the external landscaping. The total floor area excluding the garage
is 2500 sq ft with the garage adding 850 sq ft for cars(!) and storage.
The total build cost was £120k (this included all flooring). Was
it worth it ? Well we think that it was if only that we have a house that
we designed and wanted to live in. It is also situated at the end of a
lane overlooking a playing field. The location alone makes it worthwhile.
